The year was 1870 and William's first perfume was Hammam Bouquet, inspired by the Turkish baths where he worked as a barber. The scent was exotic. It was exciting. It caused a sensation. The young, bright people of Mayfair asked for more, and they got more. A series of fabulous fragrances followed.
