Theft by trickery is a growing danger and older people especially are often completely unprotected from the thieves’ audacity. This makes a spyhole essential when deciding who to open the door to. The ABUS DTS3214 digital spyhole consists of a 0.3 megapixel camera with an active pixel sensor. The field of view is 105° to cover most of the area in front of your door. As the picture is sent to the display via a data cable, the door can be as thick as 110 mm. This is roughly twice the thickness of a traditional spy hole. Viewing the image on the 3.2'' display is particularly convenient: a clear and bright image of the events taking place in front of the door is displayed immediately after pressing the “on” button. Tall people, short people, people who wear glasses etc. are all now able to look “through the door” from their different viewpoints, even simultaneously!
