The interface is installed in the PCI Express port on the computer and is automatically detected thanks to the plug and play operating system. It supports USB 3.0 transfer rates of up to 5 Gbps and a power supply of up to 900 mA per port. Backwards-compatible USB 2.0 or 1.1 devices can also be operated.
