This compact desktop switch with Power-over-Ethernet support and energy-saving features is ideal for use in small offices or in a home office. The DGS-1008P has eight Gigabit LAN connections and ensures fast, continuous data transfers with speeds of up to 2000 Mbit/s (full duplex) as well as flow control. It works silently with its fanless design and can be set up directly at the workplace.

Easy installation
No complicated settings are required for this switch. The installation is quick and easy via Plug & Play.

Flexible with Power-over-Ethernet
The four ports of the DGS-1008P support Power-over-Ethernet. This allows compatible terminal devices (e.g. IP cameras, access points) to be optimally positioned, regardless of power sources. The switch ensures this simultaneously with power and data via CAT 5 network cabling. In the event of an unexpected power surge, a mechanism interrupts the power supply to protect both the switch and the terminal devices.

Cable diagnosis function
So that broken wires and short circuits can be found and corrected particularly easily, the DGS-1008P is equipped with a cable diagnosis function. It automatically checks all the connected network cable and signals faults using its LEDs on the front of the housing.

QoS (Quality of Service)
The protocol 802.1p QoS ensures reliable data transfer at any time. Time-sensitive data packets are prioritised so there are no interruptions for applications such as Voice over IP or multimedia streams.

The green switch
With the integrated D-Link Green technology, the power consumption and thus also the operating costs are reduced significantly – without sacrificing performance and functionality.
