For guaranteed compatibility with virtually any DisplayPort output device, the active DisplayPort to DVI adapter supports Multi Mode (DP++) as well as Single Mode DisplayPort signals. Unlike passive adapters, the DP2DVIMM3BS can be used with graphics cards that are not suitable for the output of multi-mode DP++ signals, for example ATI® Eyefinity cards.
