The Intel 1851 Delid-Die-Mate V1 is a tool for removing the heat spreader (delidding) on Intel processors of the Intel Core Ultra 200 series (socket LGA1851). By removing the Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS), the CPUs can be cooled via direct-die, for example. In so-called direct-die cooling, the CPU cooler is mounted directly on the processor chip. This enables highly efficient dissipation of thermal dissipation power (TDP) or, more simply, waste heat, from the processor into the cooling circuit.
