Comfort package FDS 200 / FTX 519
This comfort package without DIBt approval includes a classic FDS 200 exhaust air control set consisting of a radio window switch with adapter plug receiver and an FTX flue gas temperature monitor with remote transmitter for shorter or covered stove pipes that are freely accessible at all times.
This means that a window does not always have to be opened every time the exhaust air system is used for very rarely used stoves.
The radio temperature monitor is used to monitor the flue gas temperature in the flue pipe of heat-generating systems.
The heat acts on a precision microswitch, which switches off the transmitter for the release signals above the fixed set limit temperature and thus does not release the exhaust air system.
Once the temperature at the sensor has been reduced by approx. 15K below the fixed limit value of 40°C, the microswitch switches back and the transmitter sends release signals again.
The window transmitter included in the set releases the exhaust air system when the window is open if the stove is burning and no release signals are sent by the FTX transmitter.
Closing the window leads to a brief interruption despite the stove being cold until the next release is sent by the FTX.
This serves to increase safety. Mechanical damage to the sensor leads to a lowering of the switching point until the FTX no longer releases despite the stove being cold, therefore the system is intrinsically safe!
Use and installation of the FTX
The FTX 519 is attached to a free section of the flue gas pipe with a diameter of at least 120 mm, which is freely accessible at all times.
The pipe can be located behind a maintenance flap, behind the stove itself or in the vicinity of heat dissipating parts.
However, the permissible ambient temperature at the switch housing and cable must not exceed 180°C under any circumstances.
The installation location should be easily accessible (remove the FTX to clean the flue pipe) and vibration-free.
The FTX detects whether a stove is cold and sends release signals to the FDS receiver so that a window does not always have to be opened to put an exhaust air system into operation.
The transmitter is located at the end of the 2 meter long silicone cable, which is mounted on a wall outside the heat area and convenient for the radio connection.
