Reed magnetic contact

The reed magnetic contact can be connected directly to one of the four inputs on the back of a VizioGuard system (optionally to an ePowerSwitch master via the digital input module).
Its field of application is for doors, windows and all structural elements whose opening status is to be monitored.

Effective protection on windows and doors
The reed magnetic contact secures doors and windows against burglary.
Unauthorized opening is immediately detected and an alarm condition is triggered.
The sensor consists of a reed contact and a magnet.
These are mounted either parallel, face-to-face or orthogonally with a maximum distance of 13 mm between them.
The detector's circuit is closed in the idle state.
If the distance between the reed and magnetic contact changes, it is interrupted and an alarm is triggered.

Mounting as required
Optimal mounting location is the center of a door or window frame.
Mounting on the bottom window frame is also possible if a particular window is to be tilted when the magnetic contact is secured.
The detector is suitable for both surface and flush mounting .

Connection
Directly to the connection terminal of the 8XM expansion module or anywhere on the xBus network on the ePowerSwitch 4M+, 8M+, 8M+/32, 8XM, or a VizioGuard or VizioGuard Tiny using the digital input module.
