Once upon a time... "A night of wax and gold", a festive story by Diptyque. This year, Diptyque takes you into an enchanting story full of wonder and fantasy - in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, where the magic of the festive season comes to life. The trio of artists behind this creation reflects the three founders of Diptyque: contemporary poet Victor Pouchet created the winter story, illustrated with surrealism and humor by Parisian illustrator and bookseller Vincent Puente. Inès Mélia, a boldly imaginative artist, works with shapes and materials to bring a narrative dimension to poetic art objects that transform the narrative into tangible form. Set in a bookshop in Saint-Germain-des-Prés a few days before Christmas, the story follows the bookseller and his mischievous, highly educated cat Archibald. The pair discover a strange attraction in a small pine cone dipped in the shimmering wax of a scented candle. With each turn of the page, the alchemy of the holidays unfolds... This year, Diptyque's winter icons are reminiscent of a fairy tale, adorned with surreal designs and golden motifs. Their boxes and wrapping paper become the precious pages of history, imbued with poetry and light.
