PI3G DEBO SENS BME688 - Developer boards - Sensor Bosch BME688

31,99 €   + 9,95 €
With this combined air quality sensor from Bosch (BME688) you can measure various parameters of the ambient air.

Bulletpoint# Air quality (IAQ - indoor air quality index), calculated by Bosch software (BSEC library).
bulletpoint# air temperature
bulletpoint# air pressure
bulletpoint# humidity
• VOC values in the air

The sensor is the successor of the popular BME680. In addition to its features it offers machine-learning supported gas analysis. The sensor is trainable with the BME AI Studio software to detect different gas mixtures and their presence (e.g. coffee, ...).
With this sensor and the BSEC software from Bosch, you can easily determine when it is recommended to ventilate the room to ensure that the well-being is enhanced with fresh air. Detect mold, hydrogen sulfide and other harmful substances in the air. Distinguish odors and automate ventilation systems.

I2C breakout board with Bosch sensor
• plugs directly into all popular Raspberry Pi boards
• breakout pins compatible with Raspberry Pi Pico - plugs directly into breadboard side by side
• is plugged away from the Raspberry Pi board - therefore no distortion by heat sources like the CPU
• two Grove compatible I2C interface connectors allow easy connection to other platforms, e.g. Arduino (3.3 V !) and some ESP32 boards.

Measuring range
• pressure: 300 ... 1100 hPa
• Humidity: 0 .. 100%
bulletpoint# temperature: -40 .. 85 °C

Other features

• low power consumption (3.9 mA in standard gas scan mode, value for BME688 sensor chip)
• resistive VOC measurement (volatile organic compounds)
• IAQ (indoor air quality) calculation with BSEC Library from Bosch
• identification of different gas mixtures, the sensor is trainable with Bosch's AI Studio
• I2C interface for communication with the BME688
• 2 x Grove compatible expansion jacks (I2C / 3,3V)
• 3,3 V data level (compatible with Raspberry Pi)
• 3.3 V supply voltage

Tip

You can use jumper J1 to run the BME688 boards under two different addresses - so up to two BME688 breakout boards can run on one I2C connector, for example connected together as Grove compatible modules!

Note

When connecting to a Raspberry Pi, the built-in LDO voltage converter uses the 5 V supply voltage from the single-board computer to provide enough power via the two Grove-compatible sockets.
